Initial bursts of dark berry fruits with ripe blackcurrants and blueberries to the fore while herbal notes of anise are wonderfully balanced by nutmeg and mild ginger spice. The fruits continue to build and evolve, adding dried fig and raisin with the wine seasoned oak contributing rich toasted wood aromas and sherried nutty undertones.
Rich pot still spice intensity with delicate oak tannins and subtle bints of darker chocolate. The spices slowly fade to reveal a sweet and luscious silky texture, layered with dried fruits, vanilla and treacle toffee. The Oloroso influence continues to develop adding toasted almonds and autumnal fruits.
Lasting finish which sees the soft oak tannins and berry fruits lingering until the very end.
